Guruve’s sister gallery, the Shona Sculpture Gallery, finally opened its gates to the public in March 2016 after three years of preparation. With a delightful sculpture garden and a Spanish-style verandah for smaller works, we are already getting great reviews on TripAdvisor. A much-needed positive development for the art movement and artists on the ground in Zimbabwe!

SSG is located at 20 Airport Road so it’s easy to find if you’re ever passing through Harare, Zimbabwe, and we look forward to welcoming you!

Tutani Mgabazi

Sculptor

A member of the Mugavazi family with its close links to Shona sculpture and the spring stone mines of Mvurwi, Tutani’s confidence and experience with sculpture shines through in his elegant and striking works – both the more traditional ladies and his more recent moves into abstraction.
